On 8 June 2026, the Savonia CO‑Forest Team Finland held a project-to-project meeting with the Vamos project and forestry rganisations specialists to explore opportunities for cross-sectoral cooperation.
The discussion brought together complementary expertise in sustainable forestry, catchment management, and environmental training development.
The Vamos project, in turn, advances multifunctional catchment area approaches, particularly in bird wetland regions.
Its work supports improved water retention, reduces nutrient and sediment loading, enhances pollutant retention, and promotes biodiversity alongside agricultural and forestry activities.
The collaboration focuses on jointly reflecting on and further developing training materials to ensure they effectively support the projects’ shared objectives and target groups.
This cooperation aims to strengthen the practical applicability and impact of training content within the evolving context of sustainable land use and ecosystem management.
The partners agreed to continue the discussions and further specify potential collaboration areas by the end of summer 2026.
